While reading watayo a person has to follow a certain procedure with respect to reciting, writing and maintaining it. These rules are known as "watayo". 1. The watayo should be written by an official watayo writer, on a special paper known as "watayo paper". 2. The rules of writing the watayo should be followed in a very exact manner or else one's "watayo" will not be valid. For example, on the day of Eid ul-Fitr, while writing a watayo on Ramadan try to write it in this way, 3. A person should read his watayo correctly and correctly memorise it within a given period of time or else it will not be considered valid. 4. It is prohibited to write or recite any other book or watayo on the same paper on which the watayo is written. 5. After writing the watayo, one must press it very carefully using his finger nails which are known as "ghutghuti", this will give a shiny look to the written text 6. Before writing the watayo, one must wash his hands three times, then dry them. After drying them, he must put najis water on them and rub it very carefully. Then he should wipe his hands with a piece of cloth or tissue paper which is known as "mochi". 7. It is prohibited to write the word "guftaar" (a person who writes watayo) or any name of Allah on the page on which the watayo is written. 8. While writing the watayo, one must recite all of it without any mistakes, even if he knows that there are several mistakes in it. He must not point out any mistake because this will invalidate his "watayo". 9. No one should observe his watayo but only the person who writes it e.g. cfa1e77820
